Introduction
Adoption of advanced technology, quality consciousness and excellence in dairy sector
across India will only be possible by engaging well trained, competent and dedicated human
resources. The demand for trained manpower can be met by an optimal combination of
theoretical training and practical exposure to modern dairies. In this context, NDDB has taken
proactive steps to develop competent dairy professionals who can serve dairy cooperatives
better. Mansinh Institute of Training, Mehsana provides an excellent learning environment and
platform for the dairy professionals to make positive changes at workplace for sustainable
dairy business.
The success and growth of Dairy Cooperatives across the country led to a need to improve
efficiency in plant operations for Dairy Cooperatives to remain competitive. This would also
ensure better remuneration to the milk producers. The need conceptualized into setting-up
of a national level technical training centre - Mansinh Institute of Training, with its foundation
stone laid by Late C. Subramanian, erstwhile Minister for Planning, GoI on Oct 22, 1971. Till
date MIT has trained more than 14000 dairy personnel.
Faculty
MIT has a pool of knowledgeable and experienced professionals from industry, government
bodies, renowned academic institutes and private consultants for facilitating various training
sessions to provide up to date knowledge in the relevant field and also workable solutions
to the problems faced.
